Ivo Pala (* 1966 in Eltville am Rhein ) is a German writer and screenwriter .

Life

Ivo Pala is a writer and screenwriter. For over twenty years he has written scripts for both films and TV series ( The Clown , The Public Prosecutor , Die Großstadt-Sheriffs , Julia - Fight For Your Dreams! ) And novels - including the bestselling series "Ein Fall für Fuchs & Haas "and the thriller series" Alarm "and" Die Jägerin ".

Pala was born in Eltville am Rhein and grew up in Oestrich-Winkel in the Rheingau . According to his own account, as a child he was already a reader of Grimm's fairy tales, Karl May , Jules Verne , the Tarzan novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs and detective stories about Sherlock Holmes , Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot . He completed an apprenticeship in the hotel industry, then studied economics and then held managerial positions in sales and marketing for IT and telecommunications companies. Via this detour he came into contact with the German film and TV industry and worked as a screenwriter, script doctor and dramaturge. For several years he has mainly devoted himself to writing novels. Books such as The Lazarus Formula , the Elbenthal Saga and the cozy crime series Ein Fall für Fuchs & Haas were created .

Awards

Palas youth novel The Guardian Midgards received the audience prize Fantasy Award in bronze at the Role Play Convention 2012 in Cologne .
