Ivan Angelov
Iwan Angelow , real name Iwan Angelow Stojanow ( Bulgarian Иван Ангелов ; born April 18, 1864 in Brenitsa , † August 4, 1924 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian painter.
Life
From 1881 to 1886 Angelow completed an artistic training in Munich . In 1888/89 he stayed to study in Rome . From 1921 he was a professor at the painting school in Sofia, which later became the Sofia Art Academy .
In his pictures he realistically portrayed the life and work of simple people in the countryside.
