Dani Fromm from laut.de rated the album with three out of a possible five points. Azad clearly stands out from his label artists 349, Warheit and Jeyz, who caused the weak points on the album. In contrast, the guest contributions by Kool G Rap, Freeman, Savant des Rimes, Kool Savas, Samy Deluxe, Tone and Capleton are praised. Overall, Azad remains "unmatched in its combination of natural force and critical self-reflection".
