Ivan Lyudwigowitsch Knunjanz
Ivan Ljudwigowitsch Knunjanz ( Russian Иван Людвигович Кнунянц , May 22nd . Jul / 4. June 1906 greg. In Shusha , Karabakh , † 21st December 1990 in Moscow ) was a Soviet chemist Armenian descent who invented nylon-6.
He studied with Alexei Yevgenyevich Chichibabin at the Moscow State Technical University , where he graduated in 1928.
He founded a school for fluorocarbons chemistry. He was one of the key developers of the Soviet chemical weapons program and developed drugs for cancer chemotherapy.
