Ivan Mikhailovich Kassatkin ( Russian Иван Михайлович Касаткин ; born March 30 . Jul / 11. April  1880 greg. In Baranowizy , Kostroma , † 19th April 1938 ) was a Russian-Soviet writers.

Kassatkin joined the Russian Social Democracy in 1902 . He published his first works around 1907. During the 1930s he was editor of Goslitisdat , Krasnaja now and other magazines. In 1938 he fell victim to the Stalin purges .
