Ján Harniš (born April 13, 1985 in Kežmarok ) is a Slovak luge athlete .

Ján Harniš is a sports teacher and lives in Stará Lesná . He has been a luge since 1998 and has been a member of the Slovak national team since 2000. He has been participating in the luge world cup with his partner Branislav Regec since the 2004/05 season in doubles. After a 31st place in the debut season, the duo was able to continuously improve in the overall World Cup in the following years and placed 18th in the top 20 for the first time in the winter of 2006/07. Regec and Harniš have stabilized at this level: Until today (status: 2011) they achieved results between places 11 and 17 both in the overall World Cups and at the major events. In February 2010, the doubles took part in the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver , where they finished eleventh out of twenty participants.
