The Jägala River ( Estonian Jägala jõgi ) is a river in northern Estonia .

The river has its source on the western edge of the Pandivere ridge near the village of Ahula. It flows into the bay of Ihasalu in the Gulf of Finland . 4.3 km before the mouth is the 8 m high Jägala waterfall .

The Jägala River is 97 km long. Its catchment area covers 1570 km². The river covers a gradient of 82 m.

Right tributaries are Ambla jõgi , Tarvasjõgi , Jänijõgi , Mustjõgi , Aavoja and Soodla jõgi . Left tributaries are Sae oja, Kiruoja, Pikva oja, Anija jõgi and Jõelähtme jõgi .

The Jägala River is also called Kehra jõgi .
