The Jänijõgi (also called Jäneda jõgi ) is a 28 km long river in northern Estonia . Its catchment area covers 168 square kilometers.

The Jänijõgi rises 5.5 kilometers west of the village Ambla (German traffic light ) in the Estonian district of Järva . It flows into the Jägala River at its middle course.

The left tributary of the Jänijõgi is the Tarvasjõgi river .
