Jérôme Deschamps

Jérôme Deschamps (* 1947 in Neuilly-sur-Seine ) is a French actor , director and playwright .

The nephew of Hubert Deschamps and Jacques Tati attended the École nationale supérieure des arts et techniques du théâtre and the Conservatoire supérieur d'art dramatique . He then worked for three years at the Comédie-Française with Antoine Vitez . He became known as the director of the television series Les Deschiens with François Morel .

In 1978 he founded the drama group Famille Deschamps with Macha Makeïeff , with whom he has since realized numerous plays, some based on his own texts. Since 2007 he has been director of the Opéra Comique.
