Jérôme Lemay (born August 22, 1933 in Béarn (Québec) , Témiscamingue , † April 20, 2011 in Laval (Québec) ) was a Canadian singer and guitarist.

Jérôme Lemay started playing the guitar at the age of nine; at the age of 16 he performed in hotels with the family orchestra. In 1955 he moved to Montréal , where he met Jean Lapointe, who made a career under the pseudonym Jean Capri; Lemay then began performing with him as Jay Rome when they formed the duo formation les Jérolas and enjoyed success in the city's cabarets. On January 1, 1956, they had their first television appearance with Félix Leclerc . In 1957 they performed together in Paris. In 1963 les Jérolas appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show , and in 1968 with Charles Aznavour . In July 1974 they separated both; Lemay aspired to a solo career and played three solo albums by 1982, including one on Capitol Records .
