Józef Jachowicz (* 1862 in Strażów ; † June 26, 1941 ibid) was a Polish politician .

Jachowicz was the owner of a farm, long-time bailiff of Strażów, active in the peasant movement since 1888, member of the PSL board from 1908 to 1913, member of the board of the Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe Piast ( Polish People's Party "Piast" ) from 1914 to 1918 and a member of the XI from 1907 to 1918. and XII. Legislative period of the Austrian House of Representatives , 1919 to 1922 of the Polish National Constituent Assembly (Sejm Ustawodawczy) and 1922 to 1927 member of the 1st legislative period of the Senate of the Republic of Poland .

Józef Jachowicz was the son of Stanisław Jachowicz and Agnieszka nee. Dziubek, married to Aniela geb. Kluz and father of nine children.

In his youth he served in the 90th regiment of the K. u. K. Army with the rank of non-commissioned officer in accounting. Then he attended the teacher training college in Rzeszów . He was an honorary citizen of Leżajsk and Łańcut .
