József Tóth (football player, 1929)

József Tóth (born May 16, 1929 in Mersevát ; † October 9, 2017 ; Hungarian Tóth József , also referred to as Tóth II in lists ) was a Hungarian football player and took part in the 1954 World Cup.

The player from Csepeli Vasas , now known as Csepel SC , who can be used in midfield and attack , played 12 times for the Hungarian national football team between 1953 and 1956 and scored five goals. He also took part in the 1954 World Cup in Switzerland. There he was used twice, including in the first game against the Federal Republic of Germany, where he contributed one goal in the 8: 3 success of his team. He was not used in the final.

He is the younger brother of "Toth I", Mihály Tóth , who also took part in the 1954 World Cup with Hungary. He was the last living player to appear in the Hungarian squad for the 1954 World Cup.
