Jörg Blauert

Jörg Blauert (born November 27, 1964 ) is a German chess player .

In 1979 he was German U15 champion in Dorfen , and in 1986 in Timmendorfer Strand, Schleswig-Holstein's national champion . In 1993 he received the title of International Master . In 1994 he was awarded the silver pin of honor by the Schleswig-Holstein Chess Association. He played for Lübecker SV in the 1999/2000 season in the German Federal Chess League . The city of Lübeck honored him with the silver sports badge in 2002.

In Boris Gelfand's book My Most Memorable Games , Blauert is referred to as a Tarrasch expert. His Elo rating is 2362 (as of April 2020), but he is listed as inactive because he has not played an Elo-rated game since the 2007/08 season of the 2nd Bundesliga North, in which he played two games. His highest rating to date was 2418 from July to December 2002.
