Jörg Fritzsche

Jörg Fritzsche (* 1963 in Remscheid ) is a German lawyer and professor at the University of Regensburg .

Life

Fritzsche studied law at the Universities of Cologne and Augsburg from 1982 to 1987 . In 1987 he passed his first state examination in law in Augsburg. During his legal clerkship in Munich, he worked at the same time as a research assistant at Helmut Köhler's Augsburg chair . After his second state examination in 1990 in Munich and a brief period as a freelancer in an Augsburg law firm, he worked as a research assistant at Köhler's chair. In 1991 he received his doctorate there. jur. This work was awarded the University Prize of the University of Augsburg the following year. He completed his habilitation in 1997, with which he was awarded the venia legendi by the University of Augsburg for the subjects of civil law, commercial law, German and European business law and civil procedural law.

In the 1997 summer semester he held a chair at the University of Leipzig . From the following semester onwards, he represented the chair for commercial and European law at the University of Halle-Wittenberg , which he later received regularly. From July 2000 until his move he was Managing Director of the Institute for Business Law in Halle. In the 2001/02 winter semester he switched to the chair for civil law, commercial and business law at the University of Regensburg , which he has held since then. From 2013 to 2015 he was vice dean of the law faculty there.

His main research interests are in the law of unfair competition and restraints of competition, contract law including e-commerce and IT law.

Fritzsche is married and has two children.
