Jörg Gantert (born June 23, 1969 in Münster ) is a German management trainer, speaker, author and karate athlete.

Career

After a bank apprenticeship, Jörg Gantert studied at the Münster University of Applied Sciences and California State University, Fresno, with a degree in business administration.

In 1997 Gantert became world champion at the All Style Karate World Championships of the International Budo Federation in Istanbul . He is the owner of the 5th Dan WUKF and the 4th Dan DJKB Shōtōkan-Karate . Today he runs his own dōjō and trains members of the national and regional squad.

Gantert gives lectures on the topics of motivation, inner strength and resistance to stress and is involved in projects to prevent violence in schools. His credo as karateka follows the Funakoshi Gichin motto: "The best fight is the one that is not fought".
