Jörg Hafner (gun runner)

Jörg Hafner (* 1965 in Hasle LU ) is a former Swiss gun runner and six-time Swiss champion.

Life

Jörg Hafner achieved 51 daily victories in his career. Between 1999 and 2005 he was crowned Swiss champion six times - so far only Albrecht Moser has been more successful with 56 daily victories and eight Swiss championship titles.

His interest in the gun barrel began shortly before his 30th birthday when he wanted to realign himself after working as a cross-country skier , duo and triathlete . The decision to run the gun was more of a coincidence when the registration deadline for the Jungfrau Marathon he was about to compete had expired and he remembered a TV program about the gun run.

After working as a gun runner, he worked for Swiss Athletics for the mountain running disciplines and looked after the mountain running specialist Martina Strähl .

Hafner works professionally as a customs investigator .
