Jörg Klinger
Jörg Klinger is a German ancient orientalist.
Life
After completing his master's degree in Constance in 1987 ( the early phase of Hittite history, taking into account the government of Ḫattušili I and the cuneiform sources ) and the doctorate to Dr. phil. in Bochum in 1992, Klinger succeeded Volkert Haas in 2003 as professor of ancient oriental studies at the Free University of Berlin . He participates in the DFG college research group 2615 Rethinking Oriental Despotism and the DFG long-term project - Oymaağaç-Nerik .
