Lord Mayor Jörg Röglin

Jörg Röglin (* 1970 in Wurzen ) is a German graduate engineer and local politician ( SPD , formerly non-party) - he has been Lord Mayor of the city of Wurzen since 2008 .

Career

After graduating from high school, Röglin studied information technology at the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences from 1990–1995 and graduated with a degree in engineering . This was followed by activities as an administrator at Ernst-Klett-Schulbuchverlag Leipzig (1995–1998) and as a planning engineer at Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (until 2002). Then he was project manager at ECG Erdgas-Consult GmbH until 2008.

Spice up

In 2008 Röglin made his full-time entry into local politics: he succeeded Jürgen Schmidt - the citizens of Wurzens elected him mayor of the city of Wurzen. On June 7, 2015, Röglin was confirmed in office in the mayor election. Röglin joined the SPD in August 2017.

Private

Jörg Röglin is divorced and has two children.
