Jörg Remy

Jörg Remy (born July 13, 1964 ) is a German guitarist, composer and sound designer. He lives in Berlin .

Jörg Remy works as a freelance composer and sound designer for film, television and new media. His portfolio includes works and a. for various large companies. Campaigns with his sound received international awards.

Jörg Remy studied classical guitar at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and with Michael Teuchert, Julian Bream and Manuel Barrueco at the Manhattan School of Music in New York . After prizes at the international guitar competitions in Freiburg im Breisgau (2nd prize, 1987) and Mettmann , he won 1st prize at the Andrés Segovia competition in Madrid . Debuts followed in Munich , at the Berlin Philharmonic and the Frankfurt Alte Oper .

After CD recordings with works from Bach to classical modernism, recitals followed. a. in the Berlin Chamber Philharmonic and in other European countries.
