Jörg Zintzmeyer
Jörg Zintzmeyer (born September 17, 1947 in Zurich ; † May 12, 2009 in Männedorf ) was a Swiss designer and entrepreneur .
Life
After training as a graphic designer and professional positions in Milan and London, Zintzmeyer founded his corporate identity consultancy in 1972, which was established as Zintzmeyer & Lux AG from 1976 together with Peter GC Lux. In 1996 he brought the company into an international alliance with Interbrand to form Interbrand Zintzmeyer & Lux. In 2001 Zintzmeyer gave up the operational management of the company and in March 2006 retired from the Board of Directors. He then devoted himself to advising on selected strategic branding projects and was involved in the Originize company he founded, which deals with brand protection.
He was instrumental in developing the corporate identities of BMW , Deutsche Telekom , Lufthansa , TUI and others. He is also the designer of the current banknotes of Switzerland ( Swiss francs ).
