Jörg von Polheim (born August 21, 1959 in Hückeswagen ) is a German politician ( FDP ).

The Polheims are a family of bakers from Hückeswagen that has been attested since 1798.

After graduating from high school in 1978, Polheim began studying structural engineering at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal , which he completed in 1984 with an examination as a graduate civil engineer. He then completed an apprenticeship as a baker and in 1988 he passed the master baker exam. On January 1st, 1988, he took over the family business in Hückeswagen as an independent master baker.

Von Polheim joined the FDP in 1990, and a year later he was promoted to the executive committee of the local party. He has been a member of the city council of Hückeswagen since 1994 and was chairman of his party. From 2008 to 2014 he was chairman of the FDP of the Oberbergischer Kreis (FDP Oberberg).

Jörg von Polheim is a member of the shareholders' meeting of HEG Hückeswagener Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH & CO. KG. He is a qualified engineer by profession and has been running the Polheim bakery and confectionery in Hückeswagen as an independent master baker since 1988. He is married to the local politician Sabine von Polheim and has four children.

On October 25, 2008 he was nominated as a candidate for the Bundestag for the constituency of Oberbergischer Kreis , on the state list he occupied 21st place, with which he narrowly missed entry into parliament. When Werner Hoyer became President of the European Investment Bank on January 1, 2012 and resigned his mandate, von Polheim moved up to the Bundestag. Through an initiative he started, the association "Liberal Craftsmen" was founded in October 2013 within the FDP.

Due to the failure of his party at the five percent hurdle , he was no longer represented in the 18th Bundestag .
