Oberbergische Volkszeitung

The Oberbergische Volkszeitung (OVZ) is a daily newspaper for the Oberbergischer Kreis . The main editorial office is located in Gummersbach , Kaiserstraße 1. It has been published since 1949 under the name Oberbergische Volks-Zeitung , which was changed to Oberbergische Volkszeitung after it was taken over in 1955 by Heinen-Verlag . Since the takeover, the Oberbergische Volkszeitung has been a local edition of the Kölnische Rundschau .

An external editorial office is located in Waldbröl . Since the beginning of 2004, the editorial team has been delivering regional contributions to the Kölner Stadtanzeiger , which has discontinued its local editorial office in Oberbergischen.

In Saxony there is also the Osterländer Volkszeitung , which is also marked with the abbreviation OVZ. This is the local edition of the Altenburg region of the Leipziger Volkszeitung .
