Jörgen Andersen

Jörgen Andersen (born January 28, 1905 in Löndt , Hadersleben , † April 27, 1993 ) was a German politician belonging to the Danish minority in Schleswig-Holstein .

Life and work

Andersen was a trained electrician. He worked until 1933 and since 1945 in a leading position in the electricity, gas and water supply of the city of Schleswig . In 1933 he was dismissed for political reasons and worked as an unskilled worker in a shipyard in Kiel .

Political party

Andersen was one of the co-founders of the South Schleswig voter association (SSW). As the southern Schleswig regional party, the SSW represents the interests of the Danish and Frisian minorities.

MP

From August 26, 1950, when he replaced the late Waldemar Reeder , until 1954 he was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament . For a time he was also a member of the city council of Schleswig.

Minority work

Andersen was a member of the board of the Südschleswigschen Verein in the city of Schleswig. He was particularly involved in the Danish school movement and was one of the initiators of the founding of the Gottorp-Skolen and the Hjort-Lorenzen-Skolen in Schleswig.
