Waldemar Reeder

Waldemar Reeder (born January 25, 1893 in Poppenbüll ; † August 13, 1950 ) was a Frisian minority politician ( SSW ) in Schleswig-Holstein .

Life and work

Waldemar Reeder came from a national Frisian-oriented family. His father Nikolai was a district administrator in the Eiderstedt district. He himself studied agriculture in the Netherlands and Great Britain after school . He then ran a farm in his home town of Poppenbüll . After the Second World War he was district hunter and chairman of the farmers' chamber in the Eiderstedt district. In 1948 he was one of the founding members of the Nordfriisk Instituut .

MP

From 1949 until his death, Reeder was a member of the district committee in the district of Eiderstedt . He was elected to the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament in the state elections on July 9, 1950 . However, he died on August 13 of the same year, only six days after the constitution of the state parliament.
