Jörgen Persson (cameraman)

Jörgen Persson (born September 10, 1936 in Helsingborg ) is a Swedish cameraman.

Life

After his training at the Svenska Filminstitutet, Jörgen Persson worked for several years as a camera assistant and member of the camera crew before shooting the first film as head cameraman for director Bo Widerberg . "Persson soon made a name for himself as a sensitive pictorial poet of the highest order. His leisurely tracking shots scanned precise figures and landscapes, moods and emotions and had a strong lyrical power." Persson was also hired for productions outside of the Swedish cinema, including several times by the Danish director Bille August .
