Jörn Klimant

Jörn Klimant (born September 23, 1958 in Kiel ) is a German lawyer and politician ( non-party ). From 1996 to 2018 he was District Administrator of the Dithmarschen district .

Life

Klimant attended the Humboldt School in Kiel and graduated from high school there in 1977 . He then completed an apprenticeship as a banker at Dresdner Bank. From 1979 he studied law at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . After his second state examination in 1989, he worked for the Landesbank Schleswig-Holstein and was involved in building up the Schleswig-Holstein Investment Bank , among other things . During this time, Klimant's doctorate also took place .

In 1990 he moved to the Ministry of the Interior of Schleswig-Holstein. Further stations of his activities were those of a parliamentary group employee and in the municipal administration of the Plön district . In 1994 he became head of the ministerial office in the Ministry of Social Affairs and personal advisor to the Minister of Social Affairs Heide Moser .

Klimant, even without a party, was elected district councilor for six years by the Dithmarsch district council on March 28, 1996 . His term of office lasted from June 1, 1996 to May 31, 2002. In a direct election on February 10, 2002, he was confirmed for another eight years in office. Klimant ran for this at the suggestion of all district parliamentary groups. On December 3, 2009 he was elected by the district council for a third term of office for eight years.

On June 1, 2018, Klimant became a new board member and labor director at Hansewerk AG .

Klimant is the father of two sons.
