Jørgen Norheim

Jørgen Norheim (born November 15, 1952 in Sollia in Østerdalen in Norway ) is a Norwegian writer .

Norheim grew up in Vestre Slidre . In 1986 he graduated from Oslo University with a major in history. His thesis dealt with Norwegian church historiography and was entitled "I verda, men ikkje av verda": Problem i norsk kyrkjehistorieskriving .

From 1987 to 1996, Norheim worked on the editorial team of Syn og Segn magazine. His first novel was published in 1994 with the title Liten svein i bærskog ut .

Norheim was nominated in 2003 for the Nordic Council's Literature Prize for the novel Ingen er såtrygg i fare , and in 2008 for his novel Adjutanten für den Brageprisen .
