Dulce María Rodríguez
Dulce María Rodríguez ( Dulce María Rodríguez de la Cruz ; born August 14, 1972 in Toluca ) is a Mexican long-distance runner .
Life
She won national titles in 2000 and from 2002 to 2005 over 1500 m and 1999 over 10,000 m .
In 2000 she came in 53rd place at the World Cross Country Championships , dropped out at the Olympic Games in Sydney over 5000 m in the preliminary run and took 37th place at the World Half Marathon Championships in Veracruz . The following year she was second at the Maratón de la Comarca Lagunera and failed at the World Athletics Championships in Edmonton over 5000 m in the preliminary round.
In 2002, she came at Osaka International Ladies Marathon in 13th place and won double gold m 1500 and 5000 meters at the Central American and Caribbean Championships. At the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo in 2003 , she was fifth over 1500 m. In 2004 she was runner-up in the Paris Half Marathon and was eliminated from the Olympic Games in Athens again over 5000 m in the preliminary run. In 2005 she was the Mexican champion at the Maratón de la Comarca Lagunera with the current course record of 2:29:00 h. At the World Championships in Helsinki she did not get past the preliminary round again over 5000 m and finished 24th over 10,000 m . She finished 14th in the New York City Marathon and second in the Mazatlán Half Marathon .
In 2006 she was fifth in the Philadelphia half marathon and tenth in the Chicago marathon , in 2007 third in the Stramilano and in 2008 second in the Maratón de la Comarca Lagunera and fourth in the Berlin half marathon . At the Olympic Games in Beijing , she finished 27th in the 10,000 m.
In 2009 she was the overall winner and Mexican champion at the Maratón de la Comarca Lagunera after the disqualification of first-placed Margarita Tapia , finished 21st at the World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham and won the Puebla Marathon.
She won national titles on the track in 2000 and from 2002 to 2005 over 1500 m and 1999 over 10,000 m .
