Jewish elementary school (Frankershausen)

The Jewish elementary school in Frankershausen , a district of the Berkatal community in the Werra-Meißner district in Hesse , was founded around 1846 and closed in 1922 due to a lack of students.

The elementary school was also known as the Israelite elementary school . The employed teacher was also active as a prayer leader and schochet .

The elementary school was attended by 17 children in 1871 (seven boys and ten girls). The teacher was Victor Müller, who had been teaching in Frankershausen since 1854. In 1877 there were 15 children, taught by the teacher Meyer Isaak. In 1906 six children were still attending school.
