The Jewish community in Bray-sur-Seine , a French commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region , existed in the Middle Ages .

The document shown proves the existence of Jews in Bray-sur-Seine by the beginning of the 13th century at the latest.

After the Jews were expelled from the Kingdom of France in 1306, some were able to return to Bray-sur-Seine from 1315. The next expulsion took place in 1394 and the settlement ban was in effect until the French Revolution .

Rue des Juifs ( Judengasse ) was renamed Rue Emile Zola at the beginning of the 20th century .
