history

In the middle of the 17th century the first Jewish families moved to Drei 30acker. There was a Jewish community in Drei 30acker in the 18th and 19th centuries. In 1833 it had 56 members. In 1856, the Jews living in the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen received civil equality. As a result, almost all of the Jewish families from Dreianzigacker moved to the neighboring residential town of Meiningen. The school and synagogue were destroyed in the town fire in 1867 . In the same year the four Jews still living in Drei 30acker became members of the Meiningen religious community.

The community laid out the Jewish cemetery in the 17th century. Funerals no longer took place in the cemetery in the 20th century. In 1932 the cemetery was desecrated.
