Jewish cemetery (Lutzerath)

The Jewish cemetery Lutzerath is a cemetery in Lutzerath ( Cochem-Zell district , Rhineland-Palatinate ).

The Jewish cemetery is in the immediate vicinity of the communal cemetery on the outskirts. The 1,410 square meter burial site - the actual burial ground covers around 240 square meters - was laid out in the middle of the 19th century and destroyed and cleared during the Nazi era. Desecrations took place in the 1980s and 1993.

In 1995 the cemetery was placed under a preservation order. Today there are 11 tombstones and tombstone fragments on site.
