Jewish cemetery (Meppen)
The Meppen Jewish cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in Meppen in the Emsland district of Lower Saxony . It is a protected cultural monument .

There are 22 tombstones in the 3208 m² cemetery "An der Hütte" . The oldest is from 1850/51.
history
From 1953 the cemetery was owned by the Jewish Trust Corporation (JTC) and since 1960 it has been owned by the State Association of Jewish Communities of Lower Saxony . Repairs were carried out in 1952 and after devastation in 1987/88. From 1957 a nursery was responsible for the care of the cemetery and since 1997 a Catholic working group has been responsible.
