The Jewish cemetery in Rheine, Lingener Straße, also known as the Old Jewish Cemetery , is located in the town of Rheine in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia . As a Jewish cemetery , it is an architectural monument . 65 gravestones have been preserved in the cemetery on Lingener Strasse .

history

The cemetery was occupied from 1839 to 1934. In the cemetery there are six old tombstones from the previous cemetery (Am Mühlentörchen), which was occupied from 1747 to 1838 and on which there are no more tombstones today. This cemetery was expropriated and resold in 1938 .
