Jewish cemetery (Bettendorf)
The Bettendorf Jewish Cemetery is located in the Bettendorf district of the city of Alsdorf in the Aachen city region ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
The Jewish cemetery was only occupied from 1860 to 1908. There are still three tombstones ( mazewot ). In the 1930s the area of the cemetery was reduced from 810 to 656 m².
David Randerath (1799–1867) bought the property in 1860 as a future burial place for himself and his family. Since then, the cemetery has been owned by the Randerath family and their descendants.
