The FK BSK Borca (officially on Serbian : Фудбалски клуб Борчански спортски клуб Борча - ФК БСК Борча, Fudbalski klub Borčanski sportski klub Borča - FK BSK Borca ), usually BSK Borca is a Serbian football club from Borča , an urban settlement in the Belgrade municipality Palilula . The club currently plays in the Prva liga , the second highest division in Serbian football.
history
The BSK Borča was founded mainly on the initiative of Vitomir Maksin in April 1937 during the time of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1929-1941) in the Borča settlement and played in the course of its history mainly in the lower leagues of the metropolitan region of Belgrade . The worst results since its inception, the club delivered in the years between 1990 and 1992 with relegations to the last league of Socialist Yugoslavia (1945-1992).
A new club management in the mid-1990s and new investments in the club contributed to future successes. The rise began in 1993 with the arrival of Dragomir Vasić, owner of the Serbian food company Bambi. He stabilized the club financially and expanded the capacity of the Borča stadium by 1,000 seats.
The BSK Borča then rose in several stages to the second division of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1992-2003) or Serbia and Montenegro (2003-2006), so in the 1998/99 season. You could stay there until 2002. In the 2005/2006 season one was under Zoran Milinković champion of the Srpska liga Beograd , the third division of the country. However, the state union was dissolved in 2006, so that Montenegro formed its own league. From 2006/07 the club played in the second division of Serbia , the Prva liga .
He gave his best performances with Milinković as coach in 2006/07 (4th place) and 2007/08 (3rd place), when he played in the play-offs for promotion to the super league . With the end of the 2008/09 season, promotion was finally achieved with the championship victory. BSK Borča stayed there from 2009 to 2013 before relegating to the Prva liga.
