The FK Kolubara (full official name in Serbian : Фудбалски клуб Колубара - ФК Колубара, Fudbalski klub Kolubara - FK Kolubara ), usually Kolubara , also Kolubara Lazarevac , is a Serbian football club from Lazarevac . The club, founded in 1919 and named after the Kolubara , currently plays in the Prva liga , the second highest division in Serbian football . FK Kolubara achieved its first significant successes in the mid- 1980s , more precisely from 1983 to 1985, when it first took part in the 2nd League of Socialist Yugoslavia (1945-1992).

In the last two decades, the club played mainly in the second or third division of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1992-2003), Serbia and Montenegro (2003-2006) and Serbia (2006-present). In the 2005/2006 season, the third division even made it to the semi-finals in the Cup of Serbia and Montenegro, but there they had to admit defeat to OFK Belgrade . The closest Kolubara was the first class in the 2009/10 season, when they just missed promotion to the Super League on the last day of the match after a loss to FK Teleoptik .

The club plays its home games at the FK Kolubara stadium , which is currently being renovated to meet the quality and safety standards for top-tier national football events. When the renovation is complete, the stadium will have a capacity of 3,000. In addition, another auxiliary area was laid out in mid-2015, which is covered with artificial turf .
