Many well-preserved tombstones of above-average quality have been preserved on the graves, which are closely arranged in a row. At the main entrance of the cemetery is the urn mausoleum of the Michelsohn family, in the form of a small column portico . From May to October 2015 the urn mausoleum was renovated on the initiative of the Porta Westfalica comprehensive school. A total of 15,000 euros were used; The German Foundation for Monument Protection has approved 10,000 euros , the remaining 5,000 euros have been raised through private donations from the students.

At first only the deceased of the Jewish community of Hausberge were buried in the Hausberg cemetery, from the beginning of the 18th century also those of the Jewish community of Minden and the surrounding area, after the Jewish cemetery of Minden had to give way to the expansion of the city fortifications . In the southeast corner of the cemetery is the small plot for the Jews from Hausberge, the larger, western area of the cemetery is part of the Jewish community of Minden.

Otto Michelsohn , who helped many Jews to flee during the Holocaust, was buried in a simple grave in the cemetery in 1992 . There are also two commemorative plaques in the cemetery for Otto Michelson's parents, who died in South America in 1958 and 1964.
