history

The Jewish cemetery in Neubukow was laid out in 1840. It was destroyed during the Nazi era (1934). In 1941, the last funeral was that of Mayer Burchard, the only Jewish resident still living in Neubukow. In 1947 the cemetery was restored - as far as possible - and turned into a memorial in 1976 . A notice board was posted at the entrance to the cemetery.
