Jewish cemetery in hair

The old Jewish cemetery in Haaren is located in Haaren , directly opposite the Catholic cemetery on Via Regia . It was administered by the former Jewish community of Haaren.

history

The cemetery was laid out in 1745. On January 8, 1845, a discussion was held with the board of directors of the Jewish community about charging a funeral allowance. Twenty years earlier, the cemetery was expanded to include a burial site that was bought for 27 thalers . All costs incurred for the cemetery were paid by the community at that time. The oldest tombstone probably dates from 1852. Further foundations of tombstones are in the earth.
