Georg Silberhorn , from 1809 Edler von Silberhorn (born January 21, 1782 in Sünching , † October 24, 1854 in Munich ), was a German lawyer and honorary citizen of Augsburg .

Life

Georg Silberhorn graduated from the (today's) Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich in 1798 . He then completed the mandatory two-year basic course (= philosophy) at the adjoining lyceum and then switched to law studies at the University of Landshut in 1800 .

Silberhorn was raised to the nobility in 1809. From 1818 to 1838 he was the first director of the Augsburg district and city court and the court of appeal. On June 4, 1837, he was made an honorary citizen in recognition of his services to the city of Augsburg. From 1838 to 1845 he was first director and then until 1851 president of the court of appeal in Bamberg.

Silberhorn was also awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Bavarian Crown and the Order of St. Michael .
