Juerg Schlup

Jürg Schlup (born September 15, 1955 in Bern ) is a Swiss doctor. He is President of the Association of Swiss Doctors (FMH).

Life

In 1981, Jürg Schlup passed the medical state examination at the University of Bern and wrote his dissertation at the Institute for Social and Preventive Medicine there. In 1988 he acquired the title of specialist in general internal medicine and in 1996 an Executive MBA in corporate management at the University of St. Gallen . For more than twenty years he worked as a family doctor in a double practice. From 1983 to 1987 Schlup headed the Bern section of the Association of Swiss Assistant and Senior Doctors (VSAO), and from 2001 to 2010 he chaired the Medical Association of the Canton of Bern. In 2012 the Medical Association elected Schlup as President of the Association of Swiss Doctors (FMH). Jürg Schlup is a member of the FDP . He is married and has two grown children.
