Jürgen Böhner

Jürgen Böhner is Professor of Physical Geography at the Institute for Geography at the University of Hamburg .

Life

Jürgen Boehner studied 1981-1987 geography with minors in meteorology , Bioclimatology , Botany , Spatial Planning and Regional Planning at the University of Göttingen , 1993 took place there the Promotion Dr. rer. nat .; Title of the dissertation : Secular climate fluctuations and recent climate trends in Central and High Asia . In 2004, he completed his habilitation at the Faculty of Geosciences and Geography at the Georg-August University of Göttingen. The topic of the habilitation thesis: 'Climate Spatial Prediction and Environmental Modeling by Means of Terrain Analyzes, Process Parameterization and Remote Sensing' . After a substitute chair in 2005, he was appointed to the chair (W3) for physical geography at the Institute for Geography at the University of Hamburg in November 2006.
