Weichselgarten is a district of Nuremberg and, as district 290, part of the statistical district 29 ( Gleißhammer ). Weichselgarten belongs to the postal code district 90480.

location

The district is located east of the Zeltner Castle and pond in the Gleisdreieck between the Ringbahn (in the east), the S-Bahn line to Lauf on the left of the Pegnitz (in the northwest) and the railway line to Regensburg (with the stop of the Nuremberg-Gleißhammer S-Bahn) in South-west, with the southernmost tip with the sports facilities of the DJK Falke Nürnberg and the TV Glaishammer (still with historical district writing from the time of foundation) through Zerzabelshofstr. is separated. It comprises the following streets: Arnoldstraße, Bertastraße, Dagmarstraße, Gleißhammerstraße, Goldbachstraße, Juttastraße, Philipp Kittler-Straße and Ursulastraße.

As part of the community edict , Weichselgarten was assigned to the Gleißhammer tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Gleißhammer founded in the same year . In 1824 the desert had 26 inhabitants.

In 1899, Weichselgarten was incorporated into Nuremberg .
