Ludwigsfeld is a district of Nuremberg and the name of the statistical district 10.

location

Ludwigsfeld is located in the southeast of the city of Nuremberg. The district is bounded in the north and east by the Nuremberg – Feucht railway line , in the south by Bayernstrasse and in the east by Münchener Strasse. Neighboring districts are Tullnau in the north, Gleißhammer with Weichselgarten in the east, Dutzendteich in the south and Glockenhof with St. Peter and Guntherstrasse in the west.

history

The area on Regensburger Strasse in Nuremberg was previously used by the military. Folk festivals were held on the area between 1826 and 1913. After the visit of the Bavarian King Ludwig I , the area was renamed Ludwigsfeld in 1833.
