Neukatzwang is a district of Nuremberg and the name for the statistical district 483, which belongs to the statistical district 48 (Katzwang, Reichelsdorf Ost, Reichelsdorfer Keller). It also includes the northern part of (Alt-) Katzwang. On December 31, 1997, Neukatzwang had 4,977 residents and 1,999 residential buildings.
history
Since 1914 and increasingly in the 1920s, the Neukatzwang settlement was built north of Katzwang . In 1950 there were already 75 houses with 445 inhabitants. In the north, Neukatzwang has merged with the Reichelsdorfer Keller settlement . As part of the regional reform, Neukatzwang was incorporated into Nuremberg in 1972.
