history

The village was created in the 12th century by clearing the Lords of Gründlach and was first mentioned in 1329 as "Revtleins". The place name is derived from the Middle High German word "riute" with an attached diminutive suffix and therefore means small clearing .

From 1625 the manorial rule was incumbent on the Pfinzing von Henfenfeld , who were also the lords of the castle of Großgründlach , to which it has belonged ever since.

At the end of the 18th century there were 16 properties in Reutles (2 half courtyards, 6 estates, 8 estates). The high court exercised the imperial city of Nuremberg , which was disputed by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Oberamt Baiersdorf . The Nuremberg owner von Haller held the lordship over all properties .

Like all other villages in Knoblauchsland, Reutles was under the administration of Prussia from 1796 and became part of the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1810 . As part of the municipal edict, Reutles was assigned to the Großgründlach tax district formed in 1811 . It also belonged to the rural community Großgründlach , which was founded in the same year . In voluntary jurisdiction, the whole place was subject to the Großgründlach Patrimonial Court from 1821 to 1848 .

From the end of World War II it grew due to brisk construction activity with Großgründlach together and was 1 July 1972 in the course of administrative reform in Bavaria after eingemeindet Nuremberg .
