|
Motaulun ( Mota Ulun ) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Bazartete ( Liquiçá municipality ).

Before the 2015 regional reform, Motaulun had an area of 19.57 km². Now it is 22.73 km². The Suco is to the north of the administrative office. To the west is the Suco Lauhata , to the south the Sucos Fatumasi and Fahilebo and east of the Suco Ulmera . In the north lies the Sawu Sea . The Failebo River initially flows through the southeast of Motaulun, later it follows the border with Lauhata to its confluence with the Sawu Sea.
In the southwest, west of the Failebo River, the overland road runs, which connects the town of Bazartete with the northern coastal road, which also follows the coastline in Motaulun and is one of the most important traffic routes in the country. The towns of Mauluto and Classo ( Klaso ) are on the connecting road to Bazartete . On the coastal road are the villages of Mota Icun ( Motaikun ), Dakair and Kaiteho ( Kaitcho ). There is a primary school each in Dakair and Mauluto, and Mauluto also has a pre-secondary school and a medical station.
In the Suco are the three Aldeias Classo , Mau-Leto and Mota Icun .
Residents
2376 inhabitants (2015) live in the Suco, of which 1227 are men and 1149 women. The population density is 104.5 inhabitants / km². There are 393 households in the Suco. Almost 57% of the population name Tetum Prasa as their mother tongue. Over 31% speak Tokodede , over 8% Mambai , minorities Makasae , Baikeno , Tetum Terik or Kemak .
politics
In the 2004/2005 elections , Estanislau de Jesus was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Augusto de Jesus .
economy
At Mota Icun there is the tourist dive site Sandy Bottom .
