Dianastraße is the name of the statistical district 43 in the south of Nuremberg . It belongs to the statistical district 4 “Südliche Außenstadt” .

geography

The boundaries of statistical district 43 are Ulmenstrasse in the north, Vogelweiherstrasse in the east, the railroad tracks of the marshalling yard in the south and Frankenschnellweg in the west. The district consists of only one district, the district 430 Dianastraße.

Dianastraße residential complex

In order to alleviate the housing shortage prevailing at the beginning of the 20th century, the Dianastraße 26-66 housing estate was built according to plans by Ludwig Ruff. The residential complex was awarded a gold medal for its urban development and architectural quality. The individual blocks of flats are laid out around courtyards that are connected to one another by gateways. In addition to small shops on the ground floor, a hall (Hubertussäale, Dianastraße 26/28) with interesting late Art Nouveau furnishings, which is rare for Nuremberg, is part of the community facilities.
