Jürgen Blum (physicist)

Jürgen Blum (* 1962 , grew up in Hirzenhain, Hesse) is a German physicist .

In 1990 he received his doctorate from Heidelberg University . He completed his habilitation at the University of Jena in 1999.

In 2003 he accepted a professorship at the Technical University of Braunschweig .

Between his doctorate and habilitation, Blum worked at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics , the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics and the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington.

His main research interests are stardust and planet formation .
